Riva Sound Records presents:
The Bulgarian quartet The Headstall was formed in Sofia in 1999 by Yavor Petkov. In the beginning the guys used to play minimalistic music performed by acoustic guitars, piano and percussion only. Most of the songs on their current debut album are dating back to that time. At present The Headstall is a four-piece consisting of Yavor Petkov (vocals and guitar), Marin Lashev (drums), Nikola Lalov (bass) and Maxim Erebakan (drums). Together they have created "Little Dumb Child". This debut full-length album was recorded in 2002, containing 12 songs that could be best described as alternative rock with strong new wave influences. The music on the record is audibly inspired by the 80's underground - The Cure, Tuxedomoon, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Birthday Party, the early The Velvet Underground, etc. For more information check out The Headstall's official homepage at www.headstall.hit.bg
